We recently found out about a newer type of cane that is designed to be more gentle on the wrist. The unique technology in the handle allows for some give in the cane when the tip hits an obstacle. The top piece slides over the next segment, allowing for more movement compared to a more classic styled cane. The video below shows the flexibility of the top piece of the cane in the circumstances where an obstacle would bring it to a stop.
