Stargardt’s usually involves a gradual loss of central vision. It is a genetic disease that affects how Vitamin A is used. This results in build up on the macula, in the retina at the back of the eye. A nonprofit called Two Blind Brothers is raising money to help research possible treatments. The brothers running the program both have Stargardt’s disease and have chosen to work to help others like them.
